This past week and a half we had the privilege to go to the Jordan River Temple. It was so nice to have that spiritual boost that we needed and to have time just to feel the presence of the Holy Ghost so strongly. We visit many homes where people are striving to make it to the temple and it makes me recognize the importance of the temple even more. I am so glad that we have the time and ability to go every three months to do a session at the temple.
We are busy every single day which is awesome! Although we have many hills to climb on our bikes it makes getting home extremely quick because it is downhill. My companion and I get a long extremely well which makes the work even better because of our unity. And a bonus is that we both like to play sports and to work hard.
We had an amazing lesson with an investigator on Sunday. We had been teaching her for three weeks and we were given council by the previous missionaries to not push her too much in the commitments we give her. When we were preparing for her most recent lesson and we were inspired while praying to set a date with her to be baptized. In the lesson we were bold but loving when we extended the commitment to her. We were able to discern some of her concerns that she had not previously told us. She told us that she would pray about the date we set for her and the next time we meet she will give us her answer. It was an eye opening lesson on following the Spirit and being bold because as a missionary you aren’t supposed to apologize for the things that Heavenly Father has inspired you to do. It also testified the importance of member missionary work because the member who was there was able to relate to her so much and shared his testimony at the right time.
I want to testify about the importance of families. They are ordained of God and are vital to our happiness both temporally and eternally. God knows what is best for us as he is our Heavenly Father. He knows that if we focus on family unity that we will have a foundation to build off of when we are growing up in this world. We will have a loving environment to be taught gospel principles that will bring our families closer together. Never miss Family Home Evening. Even if it has to be on a different day that is totally fine. Do your best to spend time as a family. I love my family and I love all the experiences that I had to spend time with them.
Everyone have a great week okay? Cool.
