A Week of Miracles!

Me and the new girlfriend

So much stuff happened this week holy cow! It was amazing.

This was a legendary Jeep

We had an amazing lesson with Jordan. He is a 16 year old who has been coming to church for several years and only recently got permission from his Mom to meet with the missionaries. His older brother is a convert to the church and him and his wife are both active and are a great support for him. We are super pumped for that!

We made the tower of Babel while we were doing weekly planning. Elder Maldarizzi moved his foot and the whole thing came down on him.

Elder Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles came to visit our mission Saturday morning. That was an incredible experience. He helped answer many questions of mine that I had and also gave us motivation to keep participating in the work of salvation.

He grew up on the west side of the Salt Lake valley. That was the first thing he said. “This is my area.” That was awesome. Through his many years of service he was always assigned to the Salt Lake area.

He focused on this phrase: “The more you know Jesus Christ, the more you will love Him. The more you love Him, the greater desire you will have to serve Him.” Elder Rasband promised that if we focus on Christ that everything else will fall into place if He is the priority. We were counseled to study about Jesus Christ from the Topical Guide. There are over 55 sections on Jesus Christ in the Topical Guide and he promised us that if we focus on studying from them that by Christmas our knowledge and love of the Savior will increase.

Those who work at Rio Tinto (mining refinery) call this tower Isengard. If you look closely enough you can see Saruman.

It was amazing to feel the sincere love that Elder Rasband had for us. He sacrificed so much in order to visit our mission. I know that we are led by men who are called of God.

You guys are all awesome! Thank you for your work and example.

Elder Jared Blatter
