I am alive in case anyone was wondering. This week was fantastic. There is so much work to be done out here in Hunter. We have seen a ton of miracles.
We picked up two new investigators who were handed off to us from the senior couples that we serve with in our stakes. One of them that we are teaching is a single mom and she has a six year old daughter. She has been coming to church with her daughter for the past few weeks and we were able to teach her the plan of salvation last week. It was awesome. We are meeting with her this week and hope to put her on baptismal date.
The next adventure of the week was when we biked to Temple Square. It was about 13 miles away from where we were living. It was so much fun! We crossed highways, went through bike trails in parks, and crossed many city streets. We went to the Church History Museum and saw the panoramic video of the 1st Vision which is an awesome experience if any of you have the chance of seeing that.
I am studying from the Topical Guide on “Jesus Christ, Condescension of” and it has been fantastic learning more and more what the word “condescension” means. This morning I read D&C 88:6 and it says:
He that ascended up on high, as also he descended below all things, in that he comprehended all things, that he might be in all and through all things, the light of truth
Christ had to descend below all things in order to have perfect condescension for all of us and because he descended below all things he does understand all of our sorrows and pains and guilts. I know he lives.
Have an awesome week!
